Host Training will Help Get Your CC Off to a Great Start!
Host Training Teleconference --
Susan Partnow, Co-founder of Conversation Cafés, will conduct a host tele-conference via telephone June 24, 2008, 5:30-7:00pm PDT. Conversation Café host trainings are open to anyone and introduce new and prospective hosts to the basic principles and "situation handling" of hosting Conversation Cafés. The training also includes a practice conversation and a question/answer period.
Registration is free for current hosts who have their Café listed on our website. For all others, we ask for a modest donation of $18 to defray costs for the training. Donations above the $18 registration fee to support the Conversation Cafés initiative are greatly appreciated, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Please submit your registration request by email: [email protected] with your e-mail and/or phone number, and how you learned about the training. We will confirm your reservation and send dial-in information after we receive payment. If your Café is currently listed our website, you may simply send an email to register, and attend the training for free! After you are confirmed for participation in the conference, please download and print out the host training manual for use during the training.
By attending the training, you will occasionally receive notices about one-time hosting opportunities, such as "super cafés" when we add a conversation component to a public event and assemble hosts to lead conversations that follow the event. We hope and expect that in return for the training you will either start your own regular café, or respond to at least 2 local hosting opportunities in a year. We never give out or sell your e-mail addresses.
